It’s not unusual to see deer, wild turkeys, or even a curious bear from a distance. While these moments make the cabin experience memorable, please remember: Enjoy wildlife from afar — never feed or approach animals. Keep doors and car windows closed to avoid attracting visitors. Secure food and trash properly during your stay in the trash cans in the bear proof bin outside the cabin. Keep the Hot Tub lid closed and secure too please, because bears love them too and don't understand why we don't want to share that with them. Most guests love the chance to see nature up close, and following these simple guidelines keeps both you and the wildlife safe. We treat the cabin monthly to deter insects, though in the Smoky Mountains you may still notice the occasional insect or critter. It’s part of mountain living, and while refunds aren’t given for this, we’re always happy to assist if needed.
